“Seeking Berries”
When you hear the sound of a tiny creaking gate coming from deep in the foliage - this is the sound of a Bullfinch. Is there any bird in Britain that is a match for this is enigmatic and wistful bird?
“Busy in Pink”
Named by Aristotle, when these gangs of tiny Long Tailed Tits arrive in the tree tops, they do so with a flutter, busy and loquacious, their long tails waving among the berries and leaves.
“GOLDCREST RINGS”
Our smallest bird - tiny ringing bells in the treetops give away this little delight. Stand still and listen to the ringing and tapping as it searches for insects and spiders among the leaves and berries.
“REDWING AMONG BERRIES”
The red berries of bryony trail through the foliage. Redwing refuel after a 500 mile flight over the North Sea, their night time flight punctuated by gentle calls and soft wingbeats.
